Hello Readers- or future readers, hopefully
This blog is created by a BU Art History student with the intention of opening the eyes of the masses to the world of art, specifically Contemporary American Art. I am here to show you that not all contemporary art in the US is contrived and unimportant.
Remember O'keefe, Steiglitz, the entire NY Dada movement!!! These were significant additions to the world of art!!
Many people view Modern American Art with contempt, relying on our European counterparts and looking at them as the 'genius.' Well no more! Americans have had a lot to offer to the world of art since the beginning and they still do today. Hopefully this blog, featuring artists, exhibitions etc. will help convince you of that.
There are brilliant creative minds living in America!!!!
